Club founding member Frank Dunbar was given special recognition at the January 22 lunch meeting.  President John Butterfield presented Frank with a distinctive Paul Harris Fellow pin in honor of Frank’s ongoing support for the Rotary International Fund. The pin is given to Rotarians who have donated $5,000 to $5,999 to the Rotary International Endowment. Congratulations, Frank!

 

Also receiving recognition at the meeting were Connie Hendren and Tim Moats, who received District 6690 125 Club pins or having donated at least $100 to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund and at least $25 to the Polio Plus Fund.

Candy Brooks announced that she and her husband, Steve Rodoker, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Congratulations to Candy and Steve. In addition, Candy, a retired journalist, will be serving as a club-meeting reporter in the future, covering speaker presentations, “Happy Dollar” announcements and other club news indicated at meetings. Phil Giessler is doing better after laminectomy surgery earlier this month. Phil is still sore but slowly recovering. He’s even had one outing – breakfast this week at a restaurant with wife Carol.
