Trent Bowers got a big vote of confidence from the Worthington school board in early January. His contract as the school district’s superintendent was extended five years to July 31, 2024. Trent had been promoted from assistant superintendent in October 2014 and started as superintendent in July 2015. His initial contract extended through July 31, 2019.

Trent has deep roots in the community. He grew up in Worthington, is a graduate of Worthington Schools and is a parent of Worthington students. He says he is thankful for the support of the board of education and appreciates Worthington’s outstanding team of administrators, teachers and support staff. “I am 100 percent invested in the continued excellence of Worthington Schools,” he explains. “I will work tirelessly every day to make a positive difference in Worthington Schools.”

Trent joined our club immediately following his appointment as superintendent. Club member Jennifer Best serves on the school board.
