Surviving the Holocaust

Fran Greenerg was born in Paris, France in 1933. With her family broken up, and orphaned by the age of 13, Fran eventually arrived in the United States by boat, to live with relatives in Pennsylvania. It was in Pittsburgh, at age 16, where Greenberg met her future husband, Dan. After moving around for his military career, the couple eventually settled in Bexley. They have four children and eight grandchildren. Their oldest son, Steven, is the nation’s first openly gay Orthodox rabbi. Fran is in her 35th year as a Realtor in Columbus, with Coldwell Banker King Thompson.

Fran was the featured speaker at the 36th annual Holocaust Commemoration, hosted by Governor Kasich, in May 2016.
